Vote for Trump? Seriously? Consider this…

It was announced today that the Republican Evan McMullin will run as a 3rd party conservative candidate for President. Hmmm- Nothing could make the Democrats happier than for the Conservatives to split their vote. Therefore I question the legitimacy of a “name mostly unknown to the public” having any serious capacity for benefiting the Conservative voter. Conservatives are still caught with one choice: In the end, our primary motivation will be to effectively and actively vote against Hilary. Go out and buy a big supply of close pins, pass them around and encourage people to apply it in the voter’s booth… as they vote for a Trump Presidency. Why?

Electing not to participate is political suicide for conservatives. Four years ago we did not effectively and actively get out and vote against Obama. That was a disastrous result for voters with conservative values along with all Americans on almost every front. Look at the ground we lost to the Progressives in the Obama Administration and judiciary over the past eight years. You didn’t have to love Romney back then and you don’t have to love Trump now. Yet, we must stay engaged even when we are forced to choose between what appears to be the lesser of two evils. With Hilary, we know the first thing we will get

is a prompt degradation of the rule of law as she reshapes to a liberal majority on the Supreme Court. Voters will not have a chance to reverse this pattern again for 30+/- years. How much ground will we give up to progressive socialists in that time period? Hilary will further staff the balance of the Federal courts with like-minded people, continuing the course set by Obama over the past eight years. The US Attorneys General will be directed to not execute the laws of the land that would result in a loss of votes for liberals, as has been the case under Obama.

Recall when Bill Clinton was first elected President; one of his first actions was to require the resignation of all U.S. Attorney Generals across America (first time this had been done) so that he could install AG’s that would uphold his agenda. His appointments to the Federal judiciary provided the groundwork to insure that our present Appeals Courts would support the liberal aristocracy.

Obama has done this and Hilary will do the same. Bill Clinton and Obama have had control over appointments for 16 out of the last 24 years. And when Congress does not give Hilary what she wants, she will continue the disastrous Obama practice of issuing illegal varieties of Executive Orders. Our national fabric cannot stand the strain.

Consider this: Getting on a plane with Hilary as pilot, is to conclude in advance that there will be crash landing, where we as a nation, may never have an opportunity to recover. There will be no reprieve from her co-pilot (Tim Caine) or ground team (Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, etc.), since they embrace her same worldview.

On the other hand… having the Donald as President is to elect a social liberal, who supports a conservative law, order, military and economic agenda- as well as being a narcissist (but since Obama and Hilary are also narcissists- that’s a draw).

The Supreme Court: In Trump’s case, he has provided the names of 20 conservative Supreme Court justice nominees who have met with Conservative approval (see Breitbart link below). Such choices could help to retard and hinder an increasingly liberal, progressive, socialist agenda (ala Bernie Sanders and Elisabeth Warren) over the next 30+/- years.

We are not fools. We understand that when we board the Donald’s plane it will be announced, as we travel down the runway, that the pilot appears to be intoxicated and only has a general idea of where we might land. However we believe his co-pilot (Mike Pence), ground team (conservatives in Congress) and even family members will have a better than even chance of saving the man and the nation from crashing. Expect some motion sickness during this flight, but also have a reasonable level of confidence that we will survive the landing and live to fight another day.

Poor choices, without a doubt! But hopefully we will do what all thinking people (the ones who pay attention) will do when faced with death or survival. We will evaluate and face the different levels of risk, then select the course that better allows for our survival. Therefore, after careful and informed consideration, we conservatives will reluctantly- but actively- select and even promote this lesser of two evils.

From a fellow conservative, stay engaged. In our democracy, you have the opportunity to make a difference. Don’t miss it.
